Fun way of math learning

Check this out.
I wish I had the aptitude (or rather appetite) for learning math like that kid.

Today, I had one of the most refreshing debates on facebook. I dont know if non-friends can access it, but I am posting the link anyway-

you need to sign up to view the debate -
plz include the same in a new post if you can (some people do exist who do not have facebook accounts) ...

regards
Alva

P.S. - I have changed my blog (click on my name for new URL)...

P.P.S - Isn't it interesting that the debates which we find most interesting often tend to be about topics in which we ourselves are strongly opinionated...

Oh, Anubhav B is Alva. :) Nice!

And yes it IS interesting. :)But is there anything you find interesting and have no, or hardly any, opinion about? I think one leads to another.

And about the debate. It's WAY too long to be put up in a single post. 90 something comments, and there's a parallel one about the 'nature vs nurture' theory on another article.

Do you guys think it's fine to create a profile meant only for viewing the debate? Misuse is possible, but I can hope for the best!

And Alva, the reason I think this particular debate is interesting to pretty much everyone who's read it - The argument directly hits a person's ego and sense of accomplishment. If success is attributed to luck, then it's highly biologically deterministic. What say? And most of the people who took offense at the article, feel they've accomplished something. :) Atleast the people I know very well. (Tempo - Midhun? lol)

It's also interesting because it connects with us. I dont suppose a 60 year old guy will be interested in this, because it basically concerns people who are still being moulded into adults, not concrete-set people!
And about posting the debate here, its too tedious because there are 2 very long facebook notes each with around 100 comments, so it will take up a lot of space. I will try and post the notes though, without the comments, so that we can spawn a fresh one here.

And irrelevant, but dude - You've got views from the US AND Australia? Awesomeness. Relatives or something?

i dont know anyone in Australia as far as I know. US, well maybe, I dont know. And its not a big deal, coz they can be bots or random blog lurker people who read up random blogs.
